What position to draft in each round? ›

Draft one starting running back and wide receiver in the first two rounds, and then repeat the pattern in the third and fourth rounds. You should come out of the first two rounds with two RBs and two WRs, and then take a third WR in the fifth round if three starters are required.

What is the best order to pick positions in fantasy football? ›

Some fantasy leaguers try to form a pre-draft plan of how to construct their roster by position. For example, they might intend to start with a running back in the first round, then a wide receiver in the second, another wide receiver in the third, and a second running back in the fourth.

What is the no RB strategy? ›

Zero Running Back (Zero RB for short) has become a trendy fantasy football draft strategy in the past few years. Zero RB was created with the idea that running backs in the NFL are largely replaceable and have high injury risk, so it is not worth spending early-round picks on players who are likely to get hurt.

Who should I draft at 7 in fantasy football? ›

Round 1, Pick 7: Draft a wide receiver

In most leagues, the top three running backs are selected in the top six picks, making the value in the second half of the first round at wide receiver.

Who to pick at 3 fantasy football? ›

Perfect 2024 fantasy football draft strategy, round by round for 12-team leagues: Pick No. 3. Tyreek Hill is the likely third-best option: Last season, the Dolphins wide receiver produced some of the most impressive per-play numbers of the PFF era.

Perfect 2024 fantasy football draft strategy, round by round for 12-team leagues: Pick No. 4. A top-five wide receiver is guaranteed: The first six picks in most drafts should be Christian McCaffrey and the top-five wide receivers. Ja'Marr Chase is the ideal option from the fourth pick.

Some of my favorite late-round WRs (outside the top 100) include Brian Thomas Jr., Ladd McConkey, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Keon Coleman, Rashid Shaheed, Dontayvion Wicks, Darnell Mooney, DeMario Douglas, Khalil Shakir, Jermaine Burton, Joshua Palmer, Adonai Mitchell, Ja'Lynn Polk, Michael Wilson, Luke McCaffrey, Jalen ...

Who to pick at 11 fantasy football? ›

Starting your draft with two receivers, two running backs, or one of each is on the table when you pick from the 11th spot in PPR Fantasy Football drafts. But those should be the only options unless you're in a Superflex league. No quarterbacks. No tight ends.

What round do I draft a kicker? ›

When to draft a kicker? Most managers will wait until the last two rounds to select their kicker, and I tend to agree with that strategy. Don't be that person in your league who takes a kicker in the first or second round and gets laughed at by everyone else.
